Walkway installations involve excavating 12” deep, wider than the patio, lining with geotextile fabric, packing a granular base in 3 lifts, screeding with 1/2” stone dust for drainage, and finishing with snap edge and polymeric sand. Interlocking pavers at least 60mm thick ensure durability. Completion typically ranges from 1 to 5 days.

This entirely depends on the complexity of the project. Most Driveway Extensions 1 are a day project. Double car driveways can take 2-5 days, Walkways, 1-3 days, Backyard Patios 1-10+ days, Stairs 1-5+ days, Retaining Walls 2-5+ days, Interlock Repairs 1-10+ days.
Access to the work area is a large factor in a projects timeline.

Yes, during our on-site meeting we can discuss your specific project needs and budget, and create a design “Custom” for you and your property.
All Custom Interlock projects include a 3 Year Warranty on all interlock/stonework.
Puddling, heaving, shifting, cracked, loose or broken pavers. Simply send us a picture of the effected area and we will be there promptly to repair the issue.
Our suppliers offer lifetime transferable warranties on all of their products.
Very few >10 repairs have been needed in our company’s 15+ years installing interlock projects.
Avoid salt in winter. Salt is an enemy of concrete products and will deteriorate your pavers over time. If it is very icy weather its ok to use salt from time to time, just don’t be a habitual salter everyday. Only apply when needed. We recommend all purpose sand to give you some traction in the winter.
Try to avoid metal bladed when removing snow.
Pressure washing to clean your interlock in the summer is an option if needed. Avoid spraying between the joints of your pavers, this will blow out your polymeric sand if not careful.
Driveways require an 80mm paver, 16” minimum excavation, geo-textile landscaping fabric, and a granular base compacted in 4 lifts.
Pedestrian areas require a 60mm paver, 12” excavation, geo-textile landscaping fabric, and a granular base compacted in 3 lifts.
We off a 3 year warranty on all interlock projects. Interlock installed correctly should see a long life of 10-20 years before any minor repairs are needed.
Yes, Custom Interlock and its employees are fully insured.
Yes, if your existing concrete is in satisfactory condition, no cracks or breaks etc. An interlock overlay can be installed using a thinner veneer paver bonded directly to the concrete.
